John Stovall Floyd was a prominent landowner and judge.
During his lifetime, he lived in Carrollton, Buchanan, and the old section of Villa Rica. 

 

John married Harriett Rebecca Heath and had five children. His daughters married into three prominent local families - Chambers, Conner, and Morrow.
 

Their children were:

  • Mr. B. F. Floyd
     

  • Mrs. B. R. Morrow
     

  • Mrs. Sallie Floyd Chambers
    1862 - 1886

     

  • Mrs. Fannie S. Floyd Conner
    1864 - 1886
